Filmed and edited by Gravity ProductionsDuring the first weekend of October Crested Butte Mountain Resort opened up their trails for a private Grassroots Cycles throwdown for the entire team. We rallied up our roster of downhill racers, freeriders, dirt jumpers and slopestylers to head up and ride together as one big crew. We never really get the chance to all hang out and shred trails throughout the season, so this weekend was a special occasion for everyone. We've been working with Crested Butte Mountain Resort on some cross promoting, making this trip the perfect opportunity to get everyone together, along with a couple of up and coming filmers and photographers, to document both what we as riders and the Evoluton Bikepark have going on.
The fall colours were at their peak this weekend and couldn't of been timed any better, a stroke of luck considering I worked out the details for the trip about a month before our arrival. It was pretty sweet to be shredding the golden blanketed trails... It made for some slick and unforgiving sections - good times!
 | As riders, there's nothing better then getting together with a group of like minded bros and riding the type of stuff that makes us happy. That's what this weekend was all about. Its hard to put it into words, but that's what keeps the stoke alive in all of us. Just simply riding and feeding off each other with high fives at the bottom. |
Should you ever find yourself in the Crested Butte area, you should make it a point to visit the Evolution Bikepark. They are doing some great things at the mountain, and with the surrounding singletrack and ample amount of camping one could easily get lost and drop off the radar for a few weeks in one of the nicest places in Colorado, if not North America. Grassroots Cycles would like to thank CBMR and the bikepark crew for a memorable weekend of good times with good friends and good trails!
